ORIGIN: Pokot and Suk [Uganda and Western Kenya, East Africa]
INFORMATION: He is invoked in a special annual ceremony, which involves the sacrifice of an ox, to ensure safety of crops and cattle. The same ritual is performed in times of drought, famine or plague. His brother is Asis the sun god. His consort is Seta and their children include the rain god Ilat, Arawa the moon and Topoh the evening star.
